Meet Indigo Winter
Author of Inkbound Realms, Gothic Mysteries, and Epic Sci-Fantasy
Storyteller. Chronic worldbuilder. Professional creator of chaos.
I write tales that spill across galaxies, creep down fog-drenched alleys, and wander through magical libraries that definitely have opinions. My work is fueled by found family, mystery, adventure, and the belief that stories become more powerful when they welcome everyone to the table.
Whether I'm chasing fugitives through the Outerworlds, haunting Blackvale’s lonely streets, or losing myself in enchanted archives, one truth stays the same—
I write worlds that feel like coming home… even when they’re full of monsters.
My work is published through my independent studio,
Ink & Aether Studios, LLC, created to support atmospheric, character-driven storytelling.

My Story
I’ve been a storyteller far longer than I realized. I used to reenact every wild thing that happened to me—dramatic sound effects included. The world has always made more sense to me when told through characters, found families, and a dash of mayhem.
I come from a long line of readers, dreamers, and women who survived everything life threw at them with grit, grace, and a suspicious number of notebooks.
When grief reshaped my world—losing my grandmother, my father, and my sweet dog Mia—writing became more than creativity. It became connection, healing, and a promise to keep going.
Now I write multi-genre sagas filled with magic, mystery, and heart because those are the stories that saved me. I hope they bring light to your journey, too.

What I write
Once forged an alliance with a whole village of ducks in a McDonald’s parking lot. The treaty was sealed with hashbrowns. Zero regrets.
High school? Blue only.
College? Pink everything.
Adulthood? Black, head-to-toe.
My mother mourns the rainbow I apparently stole from myself.
I’m not a backseat driver in real life — only when my friends play video games. My commentary is… let’s call it “robust.”
I tried to run away in first grade. I made it as far as the blanket fort in our living room. My mother lured me back with pancakes for dinner. She won.
I am a catastrophic road-trip navigator.
One time, we aimed for a beach in the south of my home state…
…aaaand somehow ended up in the mountains of a different state entirely. The vibes were immaculate, though.
